The secure2trust Folder Monitor runs as a service on file servers, etc. to automatically apply pre-defined security policies to documents that are saved, copied to, etc into specified folders on that server. The applied policies then control who can access those documents and what can be done with the content of the documents after access.

secure2trust Folder Monitor Policy Components:

1. Identity Linked Access Control

Control access to documents protected using the Folder Monitor based on:

• Password
• Active Directory membership
• Digital certificates
• Windows CardSpace claims
• Geographic location of the user (via GPS)
• Anyone access (no access control)
• Or a combination of the above to give multiple authentication control

Control how the content of accessed documents can be controlled using the following options:

• No copying content (this allows continued, but secured collaboration on the document content)
• No printing content (or allow printing but prevent printing to image writers, etc.)
• Read Only
• No access until
• No access after
• No access in remote desktops
• No access in virtual machines
