Information has traditionally been protected using firewalls, encryption, etc. With changing business practices, opening up the enterprise to working in a more dynamic and extended way, the manner in which we protect information needs to change. Access control measures need to work at the level of the document itself. Digital identities need to be associated with that document and stay with it, even when it is shared outside of your organisation. secure2trust offers a number of authentication options, ensuring choice for the enterprise. These options include the following:
|
Digital Certificates and secure2trust
secure2trust handles all certificate usage via the Microsoft interfaces provided with Windows (CAPI). In this way, it is independent of the certificate management system (PKI) and policies that are used and any X509 digital certificate can be used to authenticate a secure2trust protected document. There is the option of validating digital certificates by using either CRL or OCSP. secure2trust operates seamlessly with Identrus banking digital certificaters.
Royal Bank of Scotland’s Trust Assured™ System and secure2trust
secure2trust works with the Royal Bank of Scotland’s ‘Trust Assured’ digital identity system. The combination of one of the world’s largest banks with secure2trust document content security provides a secure and flexible, collaborative e-business environment.
secure2trust’s Secure Team and Location Authentication options
secure2trust offers two unique authentication methods based on membership of a project team or a geographic location. These methods can be used both with internal users and external third party users such as partners, clients, etc.
